I'm Kelly, the proud owner of Rays of Sunshine Flower Farm. My enthusiasm for flowers started back in high school when I took greenhouse and floral design classes. I fell head over heels for the art of creating stunning arrangements and the act of growing plants from seeds. Fueling my passion, I pursued a bachelor's degree in horticulture. After earning my degree, I went on to work in several different fields within the industry, including working in greenhouses, maintaining private gardens, and designing and maintaining flower beds for a local municipality.

While in those high school greenhouse classes, I met my now husband, Trenton. We dated for nearly seven years before getting engaged. I knew that when we did get married, I wanted to grow all of our flowers for our wedding. So when he proposed, I didn’t only start planning our wedding, I started planning our garden.

While planning the flowers for our wedding, I fell in love with the whole process. The excitement of carefully selecting seeds that would grow into stunning flowers for my very own bouquet was simply enchanting. Trenton and I put in a lot of work transforming a portion of my parents' field into a captivating cut-flower garden, where we still grow some of our flowers today.

When it came time to harvest the flowers for our wedding I was so proud of myself and amazed at how wonderful everything turned out. I am truly grateful I found something I am so passionate about throughout this whole process. Now, I'm living my dream, growing beautiful flowers and sharing their beauty with everyone around me.
